CRISP manufacturer Phileas Fogg has sent staff around the globe to promote its snack products.
While rival Walkers has signed up Victoria Beckham to help Gary Lineker promote crisps, the Consett business has made stars of its workforce.
Four staff from the Medomsley Road factory have been to Far Eastern locations to be the faces of the new snack range launched in the UK yesterday.
Pat Rooney, Susan Arkly, Rob Davenport and Sara Watchman jetted off thousands of miles to pose in the locations to be featured on the company's latest packaging, after winning a workplace raffle.
While away they were photographed in traditional backgrounds with local spice traders who also feature in the relaunch.
The workers featured in the campaign replace the familiar cartoon image of the fictitious explorer who travelled the world in 80 days and who has appeared on millions of packets of the company's snacks.
Former steelworker Mr Rooney, 41, who works on the production line went to southern India to sample chutney poppadoms, while Ms Arkley, 28, a product technical manager, went to Thailand.
Ms Watcham, 28, visited Tuscany in Italy, and marketing manager Mr Davenport, 31, jetted off to Mexico to sample new Mexican Cheese tortillas.
