The visit was the result of a joint project between the science and arts departments at Northallerton College and RAF Leeming as part of the North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership.
The pupils discovered more about the history and science of aviation, and had the chance to design and build their own models, incorporating what they had learnt.
During the project, engineering officer Squadron Leader Martyn Davidson assisted in lessons at the college, helping pupils to gain an understanding of aviation and also helped them with their designs.

While at the station the pupils visited the Aircraft Maintenance Flight, Air Traffic Control, Safety Equipment Section and XXV(F) Squad-ron
