A SERIES of seminars will be launched tomorrow for farmers who may have questions about the Government's Rural Enterprise Scheme.
Hundreds of landowners may have ideas which they hope will help in the recovery from the foot-and-mouth crisis.
However, aware that form-filling is sometimes a deterrent which can stop a good idea in its tracks, the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has announced a series of workshops to smooth the application process.
The North Yorkshire workshop will be held at Hovingham Hall, near Malton, tomorrow.
Bookings can be made on a first-come, first-served basis by telephoning (01609) 767400.
Successful projects that have blossomed thanks to grants won from the Rural Development Programme include Sally Robinson's Ample Bosom ladies underwear business, an off-road driving school in Teesdale, ice cream parlours and barn conversions.
