BUDDING David Beckhams are invited to take part in a football tournament next month.
Middlesbrough will host a five-a-side contest for primary school teams from across the north of England on Saturday, May 25.
Each school will be asked to adopt the name of a country and design their nation's flag, with prizes for the best entry.
The tournament champions will win a school strip and all entrants will receive medals.
Schools can enter as many five-a-side teams as they wish in each of the three categories: school years three and four (mixed), years five and six (boys), years five and six (girls).
The outdoor tournament will take place at Acklam Sports Centre, in Hall Drive.
For more information, or an application form, call Middlesbrough Council's sports development team on (01642) 515626. Closing date for entries is Monday, May 13
