A DISUSED wartime hangar is being brought back into use for a jubilee extravaganza.
The Second World War shed, in Thornaby, has not been used for many years, but it is now being transformed into a venue for two concerts to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee and guaranteed to bring the memories back.
In a chance to relive the Fifties, the Coronation years will be remembered in an evening of nostalgia on Saturday, June 1 when 18-piece swing band The Squadronaires perform, supported by the Lingdale Silver Band.
On the following night the entertainment will be provided by stars from the blockbuster film, The Commitments.
The ten-piece band is supported by the original Glam-rock favourites Sweet and tribute band T.Rextasy.
Tickets for June 1 cost £15/£10 and £20/£10. Combined tickets for both events cost £30/£15.
A 24-hour ticket line can be contacted on 0870 534 4444
