CHILDREN from a Redcar primary school have bright and colourful games in their playground - thanks to local businesses.
Riverdale Primary School was given £1,000 from the Teesside Power Fund, part of the Cleveland Community Foundation, which gives grants to worthy causes across Teesside.
The school wanted to incorporate brightly-coloured boards for games on the playground surface and used the cash to get the games.
Youngsters can now play snakes and ladders or entertain themselves in a lifeboat, as well as a number of other games and activities.
Nursery teacher Verna Jones said: "They are absolutely superb."
