VOLUNTEERS from the Friends of Preston Park have spent winter creating a display for the tinsmith's shop in the museum's Victorian Street.
The volunteers used a collection of machinery, tools and metal goods bought from the Llewellyn brothers, of Darlington.
Lynn Lamport, one of the volunteers, said: "The first task was to clean everything up. We also assembled other items from around the museum that were relevant to the tinsmiths.
"It was really interesting to find out how all the machines worked."
Preston Hall Museum is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. Admission is £1.20 for adults, 60p for children and concessions and family tickets are available.
