THE hunt is on for young basketball stars to represent Hartlepool.
Hartlepool Borough Council's sports development team is running free basketball training sessions for children aged 12 to 16 to create teams to take part in the Teesside Youth Games, in Middlesbrough, on June 22 and 23.
Courses run on Sundays at Brinkburn Sports Hall, for children aged 12 to 14 from 2pm to 3pm (boys) and from 3pm to 4pm (girls); and on Wednesdays at Mill House Leisure Centre, for youngsters aged 14 to 16 from 6pm to 7pm (girls) and 7pm to 8pm (boys).
The team is also on looking for children aged seven to 16 to make up teams for sports including swimming, cricket, netball and rugby.
