A GROUP of youngsters have raised hundreds of pounds for their school with a challenge with plenty of bounce.
The children from St Augustine's RC Primary School, in Beechwood Avenue, Darlington, took part in a sponsored bounce on an inflatable castle at the school.
All the youngsters took part and raised more than £500 to help create an outdoor education and play area.
The school has already received £5,000 from the Department for Education and Skills for the work and now must match that amount through fundraising.
The sponsored bounce was one of the first fundraising events to include the children.
It is hoped work will be finished on the play area by the summer.
