A NORTH-EAST dinner lady has become a bingo hall's third big winner in as many months after she scooped more than £91,000.
The 48-year-old was at the Mecca Bingo Club, in Stockton, Teesside, last week, when she won the National Bingo Game prize of £90,530, plus a regional prize of £1,015 and the club jackpot of £335.
The woman, who is from Stockton but does not wish to be identified, completed a full house in 41 numbers.
She visits the club once or twice a week, along with a cousin and a friend. Her husband, who works as a machinist, plays sometimes, but was not there when she won.
The woman said: "He was at work and I broke the news to him when he got home. He could not believe it at first."
The woman has no plans to give up her part-time job.
She said: "We may both be able to retire a little earlier than we might have done, but not yet. At our age it is not enough for that."
A 58-year-old Stockton man won £76,255 at the club last month and, in February, there was a £47,208 winner.
