LIVE music, a football tournament and a community barbecue are among the events planned in Romanby to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
There were fears earlier in the year that the 50th anniversary of the Queen's coronation would be a damp squib.
But, with the official weekend approaching, more events have been confirmed, with Romanby among the communities announcing a programme aimed at all age groups.
The barbecue on the recreation field, off Ainderby Road, will launch events on Saturday, June 1, with a team from the Station Hotel providing liquid refreshment. A live band will also perform later in the evening.
An open-air church service will be held from 10.30am on Romanby Green on Sunday, June 2, with a six-a-side football tournament at the recreation ground in the afternoon. Anyone interested in entering a team can telephone (01609) 779106.
A fancy dress parade, led by the Northallerton Silver Band, will leave Romanby Green at 2pm with prizes awarded at the recreation field at 2.30pm. Children's races are planned throughout the remainder of the afternoon.
Stalls and sideshows, a visit by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance team, and a falconry display are among other events on the programme.
