A CHARITY is appealing for cyclists to take part in an event.
St Cuthbert's Hospice is holding its fifth Sunflower Cycle Ride on May 26, and would like to hear from anyone wishing to take part.
The ride begins at Broompark and follows the cycle path to Lanchester and back - a journey of 15 miles, suitable for all the family.
Participants are invited to bring a picnic and stop at refreshment stations along the way.
A hospice spokesman said: "Hospices throughout the country celebrate the Sunflower campaign during June, helping to raise awareness and funds for the provision of palliative care."
For information and sponsorship forms, contact the hospice's fundraising department, on 0191-386 1170.
