STAFF at a Newton Aycliffe factory made a spectacle of themselves by wearing orange sunglasses for a day.
Lawnmower manufacturer Flymo held the event to support the Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) charity.
All staff, suppliers, retailers and visitors were urged to make a donation and wear the glasses. Many, including those employees pictured above, really entered into the spirit of the occasion.
Those who refused had to make an even bigger donation.
Flymo also joined forces with pupils at Elmfield Primary School, Newton Aycliffe, and Heighington CE Primary School to collect old spectacles for VAO to dispense overseas.
VAO director Tym Marsh appealed to everyone to donate any unwanted spectacles to their local opticians.
