HORSE riders using the bridleways around Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal estate can now tie up their animals at a corral and take a break to stroll around the National Heritage site.
Fiona Wallis of Harrogate Bridleways Association said: "Lots of people use the bridleways and it is great that we now have a safe place to tether our horses away from the traffic."
The association, which provided a gate for the area near the visitor centre, first suggested the idea.
