At the Kirkbymoorside 10km Road Race Steve Dauber was the club's only representative running a Personal Best time of 54.58.
There were four running the Blyth ten-mile on Sunday. Martin Grainger finished ninth overall in a personal best time of 54min 13sec qualifying for an UK ten-mile grade. Ben Wilson also managed a personal best of 56.42. Jack Mason ran 62.27 and Ron Read 67.07.
Darlington Harriers held their annual presentation on April 20 with guest speaker Mike McLeod. The main awards went to NYSD. Women's Cross-Country Champion Bernadette Taylor. The Barbara Auld Trophy went to Kelly Woodward for some outstanding performances on the track. Martin Grainger and Ron Read were Road and Cross-Country Champions respectively.
Othe evening of Saturday, April 20 the club held the half year presentation night at the Civic Hall, Shildon, with local businessman and entertainer Alan Fryatt presenting the awards.

The following week, April 27, athletes competed at the Don Valley stadium in the Sheffield Open meeting with some excellent performances and numerous personal best times.
