A RUGBY team from Carmel RC Technology College in Darlington will certainly look the part when they represent Durham county in the national schools tournament at Twickenham this weekend.
After winning the county 12-a-side tournament to qualify for the finals, the under 13 team raised more than £3,000 for accommodation, travel and a set of brand new playing strips.
Victory in the tournament, in which the team won all their matches and conceded only one try, was the highlight of the college's most successful rugby season yet.
The team also won the county 15-a-side title and the Bishop Auckland school league.
To pay for the trip to Twickenham, the players took part in many sponsored events, including bag-packing and letter-writing. All 26 members of the squad will go to London
