A TEN-year-old boy was punched by a pair of teenagers who then stole his mountain bike.
The attack happened between 8pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday, in Longfield Road, Darlington.
The youths, aged about 14, shouted to their victim, and when he went over to them, they punched him and forced him off the bike, a silver Barracuda with stunt pegs.
Although he was left shaken, the boy was not thought to be badly hurt.
The first attacker was of slim build, and wore a white baseball cap with red and blue trim on the peak.
His accomplice was chubby, with cropped brown hair and discoloured teeth. He also had a skull earring in his right ear.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Darlington police on (01325) 467681, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
