CELEBRITY chef Lesley Waters shared tips on preparing prunes in shopping centre demonstrations at the weekend.
The star of the BBC's Ready, Steady Cook and Can't Cook, Won't Cook programmes was at the Gateshead MetroCentre on Saturday as part of the California Prune Board Roadshow.
She explained the health benefits of eating prunes to shoppers and demonstrated recipes.
Ms Waters said: "California prunes are universally acknowledged as a superfood because of their numerous health benefits, but what I also love about them is their amazing versatility for cooking and snacking.
"They have a unique sweetness and moist texture, making them a perfect all-round ingredient in a range of recipes.
