PARENTS and teachers were given a treat when 50 children performed their version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The Shildon Rascals, an after-school drama group made up of Shildon Primary School pupils, spent weeks rehearsing for the play which they performed last Friday.
Drama group leaders Paula Henderson and Joanne Walsh said the youngsters enjoyed putting on productions, but they needed a new stage.
Mrs Henderson said: "We desperately need a new stage. We painted it red for this, but the children ended up with red trainers and red footprints all over the hall."
A stage will cost about £5,000, and the group has raised about £500 so far.
