They have been joined by two members of the Tees Dance Initiative, which covers Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Darlington, for the five minute routine, set to Strauss's Blue Danube waltz.
While the dance is being performed, ten year five pupils from the town's Corporation Road Junior School will read out their wishes hopes and aspirations for the future, and two representatives of each Darlington primary school will be on parade, carrying banners and balloons.
