A HEALTH walks scheme has been such a success it is to be extended.
Tees and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust has organised the scheme and is so impressed with the project's success in the Hemlington area of Middlesbrough that it has decided to extend it to Redcar.
The free weekly health walks will take place on Tuesdays and are for local people who are interested in starting to take part in a physical activity, or who enjoy walking already.
Each walk will last between 30 minutes and an hour.
Sue Barnard, from the health trust, said: "The aim of the walk is to promote the health benefits of joining in a physical activity and everyone is welcome to join in this local event."
