A TEESSIDE town is celebrating its place in Europe this week with an exhibition aimed at local businesses.
The display, in Stockton Central Library until Friday, shows small businesses how they can branch out into European markets.
The event has been organised to mark Focus on Europe week and six schools will be holding European events featuring food, music and dance from overseas.
Stockton Borough Council leader Bob Gibson said: "Our part in this week's events focuses partly on the opportunities that exist for the borough's smaller businesses to grow into European markets.
"Activities by younger people also play a big part and I am delighted that local schools have come up with imaginative ideas for learning about different European cultures.
