AS if life in the military was not demanding enough, five soldiers have just completed a challenge for charity.
The team, based at the Army Foundation College, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, tackled the 250-mile Pennine Way in aid of breast cancer research.
Running 50 miles a day, they finished their journey from the Scottish Borders to Derbyshire in five days and raised just more than £2,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Lieutenant Lloyd Murray, one of the runners, said: "It was a superb effort by all members of the team. It was the climax of six months' training, although I am not sure it is something we will be doing again in a hurry."
