Lenten Lunch: A total of £100 was raised for the Seven-acres Tenants' and Residents' Association by 400 people who attended a Lenten Lunch held by Christ Church, Lumley
Old Spice: The Compact Theatre Company is performing Old Spice on the Road to Hell at 7.30pm on Saturday, May 18, in Stanley Civic Centre. Tickets cost £6.
Great Trains: A children's day will be held on the Tanfield railway when the Friendly Engines will arrive from Locoland, between 11am and 5.54pm on Sunday, May 19.
Around Pontop: An eight-mile Pontop Pike circular walk will be led by Hylton Marrs from Dipton Community Centre on Saturday, May 18, at 2pm. Afterwards, refreshments will be available in the centre.
Friends Meeting: The annual meeting of the Friends of Derwentside Community Hospitals will start at 6pm next Wednesday, in Shotley Bridge Hospital.
Auction Aid: A charity auction in support of Christian Aid will start at 1pm on Saturday, May 18, in St Peter's RC Church, Dipton. Viewing will begin at 11am.
