Both clubs were playing their penultimate matches hosts New Marske were in 14th in the league against visitors Thornaby Youth Club's 8th, but it was the lower placed team who took the lead in the 29th minute through Gary Bickerstaff with his 8th of the season, with the wind behind them the home side pressed forward to increase their lead but at half-time lead by the single goal.
In the second half the Youth Club pressed with the wind advantage and they drew level in the 67th minute when Robbie Shaw volleyed home a ball cut across the New Marske penalty area, the Youth Club pressed forward but Lee Lucas in the home sides goal kept his side level with a couple of good saves, and near the end New Marske had a chance of snatching the points but a draw was a fair result.
Nunthorpe Ath 2 Stokesley SC 0
Nunthorpe Athletic took all of an hour before they took the lead against visitors Stokesley, to put the pressure on leaders Grangetown Boys Club, Lee Doherty giving Nunthorpe the lead. 15 minutes later Gary Hyde completed the win to keep the pressure on the Boys Club.
Richmond Town 1 Wolviston Res 1
Richmond Town will still have two matches to play after this match but visitors Wolviston have three and although this was an end of season match it was played at a fast pace and both side playing some good football but it was the visitors who took the lead in the 28th minute when Jonathan Davison scrambled the ball over the line following a corner. Richmond Town fought back but it took until the 82nd minute before Darren Bond drew levelled.
Carlin How 4 BEADS FC 0
Carlin How were looking to consolidate third place with their last home match of the season and against Middlesbrough side BEADS FC were give an opening after only 15 minutes when a penalty was awarded when Ryan Scott was brought down in the box, Jason Draper stepped up to try and add to his goals tally, but ballooned the ball over the bar, but Referee Kevin Howard ordered the kick to be retaken after a visitors player entered the box when the kick was being take, unbelievably Draper stroked the ball high and wide again. Three minutes before half time the home side finally broke the resistance of BEADS, Daniel Wilkinson was the man to give Carlin How a narrow 1-0 lead.
Three minutes into the second half a Steve Starsmore corner was dropped by BEADS keeper Steve Moore and Graham Solomon stabbed the loose ball home, four minutes later following a goalmouth scramble the balm fell to Ryan Scott who skipped past his defender and fired home into the roof of the net, a further ten minutes later the match was all over when Scott beat two defenders and moved inside the box only to be chopped down by Craig Blyth and he steeped up himself to make it 4-0.
Grangetown BC 1 Bedale Ath 4
Grangetown Boys Club went into their penultimate match of the season, knowing four points from their last two matches would secure the Championship, but they knew that visitors Bedale would be no pushovers and in fact it was the visitors who took the lead in the 20th minute when Jonathon Sinclair scored, the reminder of the half saw the Boys Club pressing forward but they looked vulnerable against the pace of the Bedale forwards but went in at half-time still 1-0 behind. Two minutes into the second half Ian Rodgers gave the Boys Cub a lifeline when he headed home following a corner. The home side then pressed forward and in the 65th minute Bedale broke down the right and Sinclair gave his side a 2-0 lead, the home side again pressed forward but again left space at the back and it came as no surprise when Bedale increased their lead, Sinclair grabbing his hat trick. Grangetown again pressed forward and in the last minute Michael Robinson sealed a revenge 4-1 win over the title hopefuls who now have 76 points the same as second placed Nunthorpe Athletic, but the boys club have a plus four goal difference.
Hollybush Utd 2 Acklam SW 3
Hollybush United still have two matches to play after playing Acklam Steelworks who were completing the fixtures, and for the first time have ended without a trophy. Steve Burns gave Acklam an 11th minute lead. The home side pressed forward and drew level in the 30th minute when Rob Jones scored, but fell behind again five minutes later when Dean Talukder scored and with four minutes left of the first half Acklam took a 3-1 lead when Darren Sankey making a guest appearance scored to give Acklam a 3-1 lead going into the half-time break. In the second half the Hollybush were quickly out of the starting blocks and in the 50th minute Johnny May pulled it back to 3-2 and although they pushed forward they could not find the goal to pull the match level.
Whitby Town Res 6 Cargo Fleet 4
Whitby Town Reserves pulled of the first shock of May when winning this ten goal thriller, an own golf after 15 minutes gifted Whitby Town Reserves the lead, Paul Griffiths scored for Cargo Fleet in the 30th minute before Ray Teasdale gave Fleet a 2-1 lead in the 35th minute but two minutes later the Whitby sides must have thought they had all the luck when a second own goal made it 2-2 going into the half-time break.
Three minutes into the second half Raja Elmgaryef gave the home side a 3-2 lead, but Fleet struck back through Griffiths in the 50th minute to make it all square at 3-3, Fleet then took a 4-3 lad when Griffiths completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute, but the home side fought back and Elmgaryef with his second of the match made it all square at 4-4 and the home side then went on and completed a memorable victory with further goals in the 87th minute from Graham Brewer and Emilio Rolden in the last minute.
Guisb Town Res 0 Thornaby 4
Guisborough Town Reserves finished their season off as they started with a defeat, they have only picked up four points from their 34 matches, all draws, they entertained MacMillan Bowl finalists Thornaby who took a 14th minute lead through Michael Arif, he then doubled the lead in the 35th minute with his 5th of the season, before Darren Miller made it 3-0 just on the stroke of half time. Steven Hill them secured the Thornaby win with three minutes remaining.
Mackinlay Park 2 Fishburn Park 2
Redcar side Mackinlay Park like their visitors Fishburn Park still have a match to play next Saturday fell behind in the 15th minute when Lee Found gave Fishburn, Gareth Maidens one of the four main contenders for the Player of the Year Award, equalised five minutes later. In the second half Found struck to give the Whitby side the lead after 53 minutes with his second of the match, but Graham Garrett rescued a point with ten minutes remaining.
New Marske SC 4 Bedale Ath 2
New Marske completed their season with a 4 -2 win over R T Raine Trophy finalists Bedale Athletic.
Richmond Town 1 Carlin How 2
Richmond Town entertained third-placed Carlin How who were guaranteed to finish the season in third place no matter what their or other teams results were, Robbie Anderson gave Richmond a 20th minute lead, but two minutes later Jason Draper who missed a twice taken penalty in their 4-0 win over BEADS in mid-week made it 1-1 at half time. The match was very entertaining for an end of season game and Draper then struck with twenty minutes remaining with his second of the match.
Stokesley SC 0 Grangetown BC 5
Grangetown Boys Club were crowned champions on goal difference after they secured this victory over Stokesley Sports Club. Nunthorpe Athletic who needed to win by a four plus clear goal margin to have a chance of beating the Boys Club, were playing at Whitby Town Reserves.

Whitby Town were playing their penultimate match of the season against Nunthorpe Athletic for whom they knew a win by a big margin was imperative.
Lee Doughty settled the visitors nerves with a goal after five minutes, but Richard Boden made it 1-1 after 11 minutes but goals from Phil Pinkney in the 25th minute gave Nunthorpe a 2-1 lead before Ross Whatmore gave Nunthorpe a 3-1 half time lead with his first of the season In the second half Nunthorpe pressed forward and missed a lot of chances before Gary Hyde made it 4-1 on the hour and Ian Swinnerton made it 5-1 ten minutes later to wrap up the win that secures them with the League runners-up Trophy

Wolviston Reserves still have two more matches to play following trouncing over an under strength Cargo Fleet.

The midweek games saw the end of the league season for most clubs. In the final of their two games Boosbeck Athletic secured victory over Redcar Mackinlay Park. In a wind affected first half no team dominated and the half remained goalless. In the second half Boosbeck came to life and on 50 minutes sub Hopwood created an opening to shoot home from 25 yards.
He was involved 26 minutes later when he passed to Winter who fired the ball into the net. Mackinlay Park had a couple of chances late on but Boosbeck kept control and ran out worthy winners. Boosbeck's second and final game did not go to plan, however, being beaten convincingly by Anchor Inn.
Huntsman's final match against league champions Grangetown who also played Monday and Wednesday. Huntsman took advantage of a strong wind and dominated the first half. The home side missed a chance in the 20th minute. Five minutes later Hodgson robbed the Grangetown defence of the ball and slotted past the keeper. Huntsman continued to press and when Rogers was brought down in the box Wagner converted the penalty to give Huntsman a two-goal advantage at the break. Despite coming back in the second half Grangetown created few opportunities. Huntsman broke though a counter attack but for good goalkeeping would have extended their lead. Grangetown pulled a goal back in the 75th minute setting 15 minutes of intense pressure but Huntsman held on to finish their season on a high.
Grosmont kicked with the wind in the first half against Brotton but could not gain an advantage. The game remained goalless until the 70th minute when Keegans gave Brotton the lead. Brotton pressed and with five minutes remaining Waters headed home to seal the game.
Lingdale United killed off Loftus Athletic's chance for runner-up position.
Lingdale played against the wind in the first half but after four minutes found themselves ahead when a cross from Woodall into the Loftus penalty area was headed past the keeper by a Loftus defence and 15 minutes later Evans took Lingdale further ahead with a good volley from close range.
Early in the second half the Loftus keeper had to be on form making two good saves from Lawther. In the 65th minute Loftus pulled a goal back when the Lingdale keeper dropped a cross and Dixon tapped the ball home. A second own goal from Loftus gave Lingdale victory.
Lingdale were in action again in the final of The Northern Echo Cup against Grangetown. The game started at a brisk pace with Lingdale winning three corners in the first few minutes.
Grangetown kept trying to knock the ball about but Lingdale put pressure on every player to thwart their efforts until Wake split the Lingdale defence with a long ball through the middle for Cochrane to tap the ball home. Grangetown began the second half converting their second goal after just two minutes through Robinson. Lingdale had a few good chances, a shot from Wilson hit the post and a header going just over the bal. On 60 minutes Grangetown counter attacked and caught the Lingdale defence out leading to Cochrane slipping the ball past the advancing keeper.
A second goal from Robinson clinched victory for Grangetown to add The Northern Echo Cup to their league championship trophy.

Durham Alliance
Boys Welfare won their game 5-0 against a weakened Durham Vic side. The goal scorers were Dave Smith, John McCaffery, Phil Nicholson, Stuart Cooper and Jeff Cooper. Boys Welfare need only one more win out of the last four games to secure the League title, that will be courtesy of their superior goal difference, which is a massive plus 106 as it stands now. They hope to secure that when they entertain Ebchester on Monday night. Belford House meanwhile are keeping their slim hopes alive after they won their game away to Ebchester 3-0. Their Goalscorers were Martin Deakin(2) and Mark Green.
Seaham The Duke notched three points when they won 1-0 away to Wylam. Mick Pittman scoring the only goal.
