FUNDRAISERS hope to gather thousands of pounds for charity by walking all over a TV star.
More than 600 people raised £20,000 for prostrate cancer research and the children's ward at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, by trekking across Middlesbrough's Transporter Bridge, last year.
The Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club, organiser of the event, hope the bridge's weekly exposure on BBC's Auf Wiedersehen, Pet programme will mean a repeat performance this year will raise even more money.
It is hoped that 1,000 volunteers will take part in the event, for the Teesside and Butterwick hospices, on July 6.
