A COLLEGE is making sure that word travels about the courses it offers.
It is taking to the roads with a technology bus, which has 12 laptop computers.
The Redcar and Cleveland College bus will be stopping at Loftus, Guisborough and Saltburn, among other communities, during Adult Learners' Week, which begins tomorrow.
Projector co-ordinator Tracey Hart will help give visitors to the bus taster sessions in the use of computers.
She said: "Many people do not have the time or resources to come to college open days, so it is great that we can take our facilities to them to give a taste of what it would be like at college.''
The college is hosting an open day on Thursday.
Principal Alan Old said: "Learning is often something associated with youngsters and university students, but it is important to keep the mind active as we get older and there is little that is more satisfying than learning new skills.
"During Adult Learners' Week, we aim to demonstrate to people in the region how they can gain new qualifications, meet new friends and potentially improve their lifestyle by signing up for a college course.''
