A GROUP of leisure and tourism students from a Teesside college have been making a splash in aid of charity.
The students, studying for a GNVQ Intermediate in Leisure and Tourism or an AVCE in Travel and Tourism, held a sponsored car wash for staff at Stockton and Billingham College, to help raise money for local causes.
The event made £30, which, alongside other fundraising activities, including a five-a-side football match, sponsored paint-balling, ten-pin bowling tournament, old school disco night and a royal jubilee party, raised in total more than £500.
The money will be divided between the Butterwick Hospice, the sick children's unit at the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton, and Cancer Research UK.
