A country house is embracing the 21st Century today when a contemporary sculpture park opens to the public.
About 40 exhibits, some by internationally renowned artists, are going on display at Newby Hall, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
The show was arranged following the success of a similar exhibition last year.
Most of the sculptures will be set out on the estate's woodland walk. Yorkshire sculptor Gillian Brent has also created a collection of pieces specific to the Orchard area.
Ms Brent, who trained under Katherine Gilli, one of last year's exhibitors, has taken her inspiration from the wrought iron gates that border the orchard and wood.
"We are very excited that Gillian has agreed to create something especially for the site," said Lucinda Compton, who owns Newby Hall with her husband, Richard.
Pieces of work on display include Insects by Wendy Earle, Stud by Jill Tweed, and Helmet by Jane Ricards.
The sculpture park is open every day except Mondays, but including bank holidays, until September 29, from 11am to 5.30pm. All the exhibits are available to buy.
