SCHOOL children got a shock history lesson when two Viking warrior re-enactors traded blows - just for fun.
The set piece mock combat was a warm up for a Viking weekend at the Lingfield Farm Countryside Centre, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough when Sunday visitors will be able to see a replica raiders' settlement and such ancient skills as pottery, tablet weaving, woodworking and chain mail making.
