Gary Atkinson produced a club record race at the Blythe Valley 10-mile road race with an exceptional sub hour personal best of 59.26 finishing in 28th position.
Missing out on PB was Neil Douthwaite as he finished in 68.57 in 126th position. Kenny Sams finished well in 76.55 for 240th after a good race. James Sowerby came home in 79.06 257th with cramp.
A strong run got Donna Douthwaite a new personal best of 83.34 for 297th position. Alan Dickinson and Alan Thompson both recorded creditable times and positions of 97.30 344th and 103.49 346th.
For the record Alan Dickinson finished 1.132 position from 1.234 runners in the Coniston 14 with another creditable time of 2.25.52.
The London Marathon saw a battle between the club's two representatives, with the vastly experienced Michael O'Sullivan coming out on top with a personal best time of three hours 25 mins, ahead of Mick Beadle who ran a magnificent 3 hours 40 mins on his debut.
The Gisborough moors fell race saw Peter Milburn in fine form to take 20th place in 94 mins over the gruelling 12.5 mile distance, with the outstanding George Reid in 92nd place and Sue Milburn 105th, only three mins behind.
The New Marske 5k race saw the ever improving Brent Morfoot going well to finish in 36th place for an excellent 19.09, with Dave McKenzie in 79th place on 22.17 and Ray Todd in 85th for his 23.07.
The Hartlepool 10k road race saw Peter Milburn at his very best to finish in 5th place for his 36.39, with Mick Beadle going well for 23rd place and 42.42.
Rachel Scholey ran another personal best at the Wakefield 10k road race to record a very good 47 mins 52 secs, with daughter Jessica having a good race to finish 15th in the 1 mile fun run.
Crook and District AC
The veteran men took the honours in the opening event of the 2002 Durham Fell Challenge Series at the arduous 10 mile Cronkley Fell, Teesdale.
Mike Mallen won the race in a time of 1.24.12 , Graham Bradshaw 4th in 1.27.20 , Dennis Brown 18th in 1.35.06 , Gerry Hehir 22nd in 1.39.22, Martin Harbisher 1.46.20 and Allen Purdham 1.53.05.
At the Coxhoe 11km. Multi-terrain race Kevin Allen had his best ever result finishing fifth in a time of 39.54. Ian Bainbridge ran 46.55 and John Butler ran 57.03.
