A NORTH-EAST dancer has won a trip to the Greek island of Rhodes in a modelling competition.
Lliane Pacewitch, from Newton Aycliffe, won a week on the Greek island, where she will join nine other winners on a seven-day professional photo-shoot.
The competition was run by holiday company Club 18-30 and the photographs will appear in its summer 2003 brochure.
Lliane, a retail assistant and club dancer, beat off stiff competition from 50 other finalists to win a place on the trip and the chance to take her first steps on a career in modelling.
She said: "I was delighted to have been chosen for the final of the competition, but when I saw the standard I never imagined that I'd win. It is a great surprise.
"Now I find myself facing a week in the sun, posing for the camera and the chance to gain exposure to over two million people. I'm really excited and the trip should be great fun."
