NEWCASTLE City Council is about to embark on a major communications exercise with its 35,000 tenants.
Talking with Tenants is a series of 28 community roadshows across the city, starting next Friday.
Councillor Ruth Robson, cabinet member with responsibility for housing and regeneration, said: "Talking with Tenants is a new approach for us.
"We knew we needed to try to talk to a wider group of people than we usually reach through newsletters or public meetings.
"These roadshows will take our message out into communities, where people are, rather than expect them to come to us."
The Talking with Tenants roadshows will provide feedback to tenants on the results of two pieces of recently-completed research.
The first is a survey of all Newcastle tenants and their investment priorities for their homes and neighbourhoods.
The second is an independent survey of the physical condition of a sample of houses.
