THE hunt is on for people of all ages to help revamp part of Hartlepool's Headland.
A group is being set up to think of ideas to revitalise a grassed area in the centre of Regent Square.
A new layout and new paving and lighting are among suggestions put forward so far, but more ideas would be welcome.
The new group, called the Friends of Regent Square, meets for the first time on Wednesday, in the Masonic Hall, in Regent Street, at 7pm.
The Friends have been set up in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council to explore the possibilities of environmental improvements in the square, which could result in a bid to the North Hartlepool Single Regeneration Budget Partnership for funding.
Lesley Hall, a community development worker on the Headland, said: "We hope many people of all ages will come along and join the Friends.
"If they are interested in the future of Regent Square and they are enthusiastic, then they will be very welcome.
"There is a lot of exciting potential for the square, but we need to get the views of as many people as possible."
