FANS of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and other developments around Gateshead Quays have been taking part in events explaining the past, present and future of the area, as part of Gateshead Borough Council's efforts to promote National History Week, which runs until tomorrow.
Three free events gave people an insight into the history of east Gateshead, and plans to turn the area into one of Europe's top arts and leisure venues.
There will be activities at Gateshead Quays Visitor Centre, at St Mary's Church, Gateshead, from 10am to 4pm today and tomorrow.
