THREE schools in Darlington are to be helped to develop travel plans to make it easier for children to walk or cycle to school.
Mowden Infants, St Augustine's and Abbey Infant schools will work with council officers to create travel plans for pupils. Abbey Infant School has already started a walking train.
The council has £160,000 to fund the plans.
Among ideas to be discussed will be more cycle lanes, walking trains and more road crossings.
