FIRST World War gunners, grainy black-and-white photos of Hartlepool and extended family trees all formed part of a trip down memory lane for people living on Teesside, at the weekend.
The Headland Local History Group's history fair, held in Hartlepool's Borough Hall on Saturday, drew in crowds of people interested in everything from local and family history to museums, and transport.
As well as the memorabilia, photographs and paintings, history was brought alive when a member of the Heugh Gun Battery Re-enactment Group - which sponsors the history group - turned up wearing First World War uniform.
Designed to coincide with National Local History Week, the fair was partly paid for by money from the National Lottery Awards for All scheme.
