WEEKEND WALK: Bob Brown, the River Tees countryside warden, will lead a seven-mile walk through Yarm, Picton and Worsall on Sunday. The walk begins at Yarm station at 10.30am. Participants are asked to take walking boots and a packed lunch.

TEST OF KNOWLEDGE: A general knowledge quiz will be held in Egglescliffe community centre, Durham Lane, Eaglescliffe, on Saturday, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £3 for members and £3.50 for non-members, to include a pie and peas supper, but drinks must be provided.
