A WOMAN is suing her factory boss after he asked her breast size while ordering her a new pair of steel toe-capped boots, a tribunal heard.
Vicky Henderson, 21, said Ken Moore also told her that she should get pregnant to avoid period pain.
Miss Henderson, the only woman on the production line at double glazing company Darby Glass, in Gateshead, is suing for sexual harassment and sex discrimination.
She said she was too afraid to complain about her treatment while she still worked at the factory.
Miss Henderson, of Great Lumley, County Durham, said she was victimised by Mr Moore, who would use any excuse to pick on her.
She said: "When he asked my chest size I was so embarrassed. I did not know what to say.
"I had gone to him to order a new pair of steel toe-capped boots and, when I told him I was a size five shoe, the next question was for my chest size.
"I felt so humiliated."
Mr Moore, who denies the allegations, sacked Miss Henderson a week before her probation period was due to end, in October last year.
Mr Moore only started his job as factory manager four weeks before he sacked Miss Henderson and said he had not been given any equal opportunities training by the firm.
Denying the allegations, he said: "I am not an ogre. It is not true. I am hurt by this."
The tribunal has reserved judgement in the case
