TERRITORIAL Army centres across the North-East will be on parade on Saturday.
TA Day will see bases across the region welcoming visitors between 10am and 4pm.
Volunteers will also be on hand in towns to describe what the TA has to offer.
Visitors will be invited to find out about equipment and training opportunities.
At Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, a number of military vehicles will be on display.
In Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, plant and power tools used by the Pioneer Regiment to build such things as refugee camps will be on display in the shopping centre.
The TA said yesterday that the days were not just aimed at potential recruits, but at families looking for an interesting day out.
TA recruits have served in a number of campaigns in recent years, including Bosnia and Kosovo.
TA Day will see centres open in Darlington, Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields, Blyth, Seaburn, Washington, Hebburn, Middlesbrough, Durham, Bishop Auckland, Consett, Guisborough, Hartlepool and Newton Aycliffe.
There will also be events at other venues across the region, including Bishop Auckland town centre, Consett Market Place, Darlington town centre, the Gateshead MetroCentre, Hartlepool's Asda, Exhibition Square in Middlesbrough, Shildon town centre and the Bridges Shopping Centre, Sunderland.
