A ONE-eared cat is still looking for a new home after more than a year in the care of the RSPCA.
Lugsy, an older long-haired tom cat, has proved a problem for the charity to rehome, because of his age.
Most people look for kittens, or young adult cats, but the RSPCA's Vanessa Robinson said: "A cat can live 15 years, so he's still got a long time ahead of him. He's such a lovely boy."
When Lugsy was found, in Middleton St George, near Darlington, his left ear had become infected and had to be amputated.
The RSPCA is also trying to find a new home for three-year-old Sophie, a grey and white short-haired cat, which, although described as a "lovely cat", does not mix well with other cats.
Anybody interested in giving Lugsy or Sophie a home can telephone Mrs Robinson on (01325) 377878
