At least 20 new jobs could be created if councillors agree to plans by Geoffrey Robinson Ltd to build a two-storey office block and a single-storey workshop on undeveloped land within the Cowpen Industrial Estate, Billingham. Members of Stockton Borough Council's planning committee who meet on Friday, have been recommended to approve the plans. The company provides mechanical, building and engineering services.
On Parade: Volunteers are needed for a police identity parade in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough. Candidates should be white males aged from 30 to 40, of stocky to heavy build, about 6ft and with a completely bald or shaven head. They are paid a £5 registration fee and £10 per hour per parade. NEW DEPOT: Hewden Stuart has lodged a planning application with Stockton Borough Council to build a plant hire depot with offices, maintenance and storage areas, roads and car parking, at Billingham Reach Industrial Estate.
