Darlington have secured the immediate futures of youngsters Mark Sheeran and David McGurk by handing the pair one-year contracts.
The deals are the 19-year-olds first professional contracts having just completed their youth team deals.
The emergence of Darlington's talented youth players this season was one of the club's few bright spots and alongside Adam Rundle, Sheeran and McGurk made the most of the first-team opportunities given to them by manager Tommy Taylor.
"They were all outstanding," said Taylor, who is very keen on utilising the best of the young talent at Feethams. And he admitted Sheeran's six goals in one start and 22 substitute appearances haven't gone unnoticed away from Feethams.
"Nobody tried to sign them, I wasn't worried about losing them to another club.
"Of the three, managers of other clubs have talked about Sheeran mostly, but there has to be someone out there on the wings putting the ball in the box."
Rundle has not signed a pro contract because he has another year to run as a youth team player.
