A FORUM promoting the development of Bishop Auckland town centre has teamed up with map company Visitmap to promote a guide with features on its shopping, restaurants and nightlife, and its history.
The guide will include a three-dimensional map of the town centre and 20,000 will be printed and distributed free through local businesses, pubs, hotels, attractions and estate agents as well as tourist information centres.

JUBILEE PLANS: Sedgefield village is planning a variety of activities, centred on Ceddesfeld Hall, to celebrate the Queen's golden jubilee. A disco will be held on Friday, May 31, a Proms in the Park concert next day, and a pensioners' cream tea with musical entertainment on Sunday. A family fun day will be held on Monday. TABLE-TOP SALE: A table-top sale will be held at St Catherine's Community Centre, Market Place, Crook, on Saturday, from 9.30 am to noon. To book a table, costing £5, call (01388) 766706. All proceeds go to the centre.
YOUTH DRAMA: Youngsters can take up acting, dance, singing or music by joining Laurel Drama, a group which meets at Bishop Auckland Town hall every Friday, from 5pm to 6.30pm.
