A TEENAGER from Billingham has had his wish to spend time with a top DJ come true.
Matty Wilkinson, 15, was granted a wish by Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, the charity that turns dreams into reality for children living with life-threatening illnesses.
The youngster, who would love to be a DJ, was given the chance to meet up with top DJ Roger Sanchez who presented him with his very own DJ decks and vinyl records.
Matty, who is beating his illness Hodgkins Lymphona, met up with the DJ at Malmaison Hotel in the Quayside, Newcastle last week.
Jane Turner, regional development executive for the charity's North-Eastern region, said: "Matty would love to be a DJ and we thought that for Roger Sanchez to present him with his equipment would be fantastic. Matty was over the moon and is now a great fan of Roger's."
Matty and his family, mum Jacqui, stepfather Geoff, and his brothers Christopher and Jack, were collected from their home in Billingham and driven to Newcastle.
