A FATHER jailed for a sex assault on his teenage babysitter has lost an appeal to keep his job.
Wayne Armin, 32, of Thornton Close, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham was jailed in March after he was found guilty of indecent assault on a 15-year-old girl.
He was sentenced at Teesside Crown Court to nine months in prison.
Armin, who is still serving his sentence, had his licence as a registered steward suspended by Darlington Borough Council when the offence was discovered.
After he was found guilty, members of the council's licensing committee revoked his licence because of his conviction, but Armin appealed against the decision from his prison cell.
The council has now refused his application for a second time.
A council spokesman said: "It was refused due to his conviction relating to a serious sexual offence and that he is presently serving a sentence in Her Majesty's Prison."
