RESIDENTS at Langley Park are preparing to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee in style.
People living in Hazelwood Court will hold a party in the cul-de-sac on Monday, June 3, between 11.30am and 5pm.
The entertainment includes a fancy dress competition, face painting, magician, slow bike race, bouncy castle, disco and barbecue.
There will also be a raffle and tomobola to raise money for the neo-natal at the University Hospital of North Durham. About 70 residents are expected to attend the event, paying £10 each.
Alison Adamson, one of the organisers, said: "There's a lot of enthusiasm for the jubilee. Myself and two other neighbours have taken up the challenge of organising the party.
