Royal streaker Brynn Reed has been sacked from his civil service job after he stripped for the Queen.
Reed shocked the nation after he took his clothes off in front of Her Majesty and ran past the royal car during the Queen's visit to the North East. Hundreds of people, including members of the clergy, children and pensioners had gathered to watch the Queen unveil a statue of Cardinal Hume at St Mary's Cathedral on May 7.
Police pinned down the 27-year-old, of North Shields, North Tyneside, in a bid to stop his X-rated antics.
But Reed, who had Rude Britannia written on his buttocks, told how his life had been turned upside down.
A day after he appeared at North Tyneside Magistrates courts for outraging public decency, he got a letter from bosses at the Department for Work and Pensions in Longbenton giving him the boot.
He said: "They sacked me the next day for it and now I'm desperate to find a job.
"I've sent a letter to Tony Blair to say that it was only a joke and that I didn't realise the price was going to be so high."
Reed was charged with outraging public indecency and ordered not go within 200 yards of the Queen as part of his bail conditions.
The court case was adjourned for two weeks and Reed will next come before magistrates at Newcastle on May 22.
