PEOPLE in Trimdon, and the surrounding areas are being invited to a day of fun, relaxation and information in the village hall.
The event, on Monday, May 27, is being organised by the Pioneering Care Partnership, Trimdon 2000 Age Concern Durham County, the PRT Carers' Centre, and Health Promotion.
The event, which runs from 10am to 3pm, will include the chance of a free complementary therapy taster session, healthy cookery, crime prevention and gentle exercise.
There will also be smoking cessation workshops, at which the first five people to book will receive a free relaxation tape and carbon monoxide test.
A free lunch is available, and the first twelve people to book a place on the crime prevention workshop will receive a free personal attack alarm.
Lisa Nevens, passport to health co-ordinator at the Pioneering Care Centre, said: "Anyone living in Trimdon and the surrounding area is welcome to come along on the day, to join the workshops or get information on services available to them."
The event will have information on carers issues, Age Concern Durham County, equipment and services for disabled people, welfare rights, health, the Pioneering Care Centre and more.
For more information or to book a complementary therapy taster, one-to-one smoking cessation appointment or workshop place, contact Gill Macnab on (01325) 321234 as soon as possible.
