Only two games went ahead and Chester-le-Street celebrated a 50 run win at Boldon where no fewer than 270 runs were scored for the loss of just five wickets.
Batting first the Cestrians posted 160 for two as the runs flowed from Daniel Shurben with 79 and Stephen Merrington (59). When Boldon replied they ended on 110 for three which included 51 from Chris Mackley.
In the other game Whitburn had six wickets in hand of Burnmoor who totalled 75 for the loss of seven wickets. Philip Neesham picked up two wicket for just 14 runs and Adam Locke had two for 16. Whitburn's replied featured a fine unbeaten innings of 40 by Andrew Turns.

Sacriston romped to 125 for three visiting Kibblesworth who were all out for just 59 when they replied.
Burke was in excellent form for Sacriston and he scored 78 and in the Kibblesworth reply their top scorer was Craig Burlison with 24. Wilson, with three wickets for five runs, top performed in the Sacriston attack.
Greenside enjoyed a three wickets victory at home to Lintz who batting first made 91 for two which included 36 by Andrew Smith and an unbeaten 36 from Paul Foster.
Andrew Scott guided Greenside to their total of 92 for seven when he carried his bat for 47 and in the Lintz attack none did better than Smith whose three wickets were taken at a cost of just 17 runs.
Chris Gray gave support with two for 28.
Lanchester won handsomely at Annfield Plain, thanks to an unbeaten 41 by Greg Halliday. He dominated in his team's reply which reached 65 for one after Annfield Plain had been restricted to 63 for three.
Marcus Peart was in good, all round form for Burnopfield who had eight wickets to spare at Ryton. When the home side batted first Peart took three wickets for 16 runs in five overs and Ryton made 47 for seven which included 30 by Philip Bates with one boundary.
Peart then went to work with the bat and struck four fours scoring an undefeated 30 out of his team's total of 50 for two.
Crookhall finished with 108 for three when both Daniel Stewart and Nicky Curran both scored 30 and in response Tantobie managed 35 for five.
